Lori Hooten
North Shore Specialist
While Lori has been in sales for over 10 years, her interest in real estate began while owning a small business and making her own investments and renovation projects. Real estate renovation projects run in the family as Lori’s mother & father have been renovating homes for years. Growing up in the business, Lori has an eye for design and can help clients have the vision to create their dream home. She believes it is important to educate her clients on all aspects of the housing industry, from market conditions to design trends. As a small business owner & marketing specialist, Lori knows how to work with many high profile clients on managing their marketing and media budgets. This background provides the organization, communication and negotiation skills for her career in real estate. Prior to getting her license, Lori was a full time brokers assistant, giving her a deep knowledge of the process of buying and selling from the ground up. As one of the founding members of The MacPherson Westhoff Group, Lori brings a breadth of experience and extensive knowledge of the Northshore real estate market. She displays a blend of integrity, patience, and enthusiasm that her clients find refreshing. Lori and her family moved to Chicago from Ohio in 2009, giving her first hand knowledge of the scary transition of moving her family from state to state, researching schools and communities, and learning to make the transition seamless for her family. Lori has a gift of being able to relate to her client's situation and bringing her past experiences to her clients. Since 2009, Lori has lived on the Northshore in various suburbs as Evanston, Skokie and now she currently resides with her family in Glenview.

To provide some context, before I listed with Pam, my 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo unit had been on the market for 8 months and had only received 1 offer, which eventually fell through. After renting the unit for 1 year, I decided to list it again and I was referred to Pam by my rental tenant. Pam and her associate, Lori, were thoroughly prepared as my wife and I peppered them with our questions and concerns, and they assured us that they would sell our unit quickly...and they were right! I lived in a different state from the listed unit and it was difficult for me to keep an eye on things from afar, but Pam became my eyes and ears for the unit, and she and Lori took care of everything while I was away - arranged painting, staging, dealing with other contractors and brokers, etc. After only four days on the market, I had an offer that I eventually accepted! Just as they had done with the listing, Pam and Lori made the offer, inspection, and closing process so incredibly smooth and the sale has since closed. I am now looking for a house out-of-state and they have generously offered to assist with that process as well! I cannot say enough about Pam and Lori's communication skills, persistence, knowledge of the market, and their overall work, and I plan to tell everyone I know about them. 5 stars all the way!!
