The Village of Glenview has a population of almost 45,000. It’s located in Cook County. The Village has fine amenities and services, excellent schools, 34 parks and playgrounds covering more than 290 acres, several options for shopping and dining and proximity to local expressways and commuter trains have made it one of Chicago’s premier suburbs.

Located on the site of the former Glenview Naval Air Station, the Glen Town Center includes many upscale stores, great dining options, a movie theater, nightlife and owned apartments.

The Glenview Park District is one of the largest, most unique park districts in Illinois! The village is known for exceptional public education. In 2014, Business Insider ranked Glenview’s Glenbrook South High School as the 19th best public high school in the United States. In 2015, Glenbrook School District 225 was also ranked 2nd in the state only behind its neighbor New Trier Township, and 10th in the nation by Business Insider. Greatschools.org has rated Northfield Twp Hsd 225 School District a 10 out of 10 with 88% of the graduates attending college.

Glenview is located between the Edens Expressway (I-94) to the east and the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) to the west, just 20 miles north of downtown Chicago.

The Village is served by two train lines:

Metra’s Milwaukee North line, which runs between Chicago’s Union Station and Fox Lake, serves Glenview at two stations — downtown Glenview (1116 Depot Street) and the Glen of North Glenview (3000 Old Willow Road), with the average commute at 30-35 minutes.

Amtrak’s Hiawatha service runs between Chicago’s Union Station and Milwaukee, with six stops daily at Glenview’s downtown station (1116 Depot Street), and the Empire Builder connects Chicago and Seattle, with twice daily stops in Glenview.

Pace provides bus service on four different routes as well.
